Why I Chose to Become a Mini Magoos Franchisee in Wirral North

Baby classes in Wirral have always been a big part of my parenting journey, and now they’re a huge part of my career too. I’m proud to run Mini Magoos Wirral North, offering fun, engaging, and development-focused sessions for babies and toddlers in Hoylake, Greasby, and Wallasey.

If you had told me a few years ago that I would be running my own baby and toddler classes, I might have been surprised — but looking back, every step in my career and personal life has led me here. From my years as a teacher to my time as a Mini Magoos parent, my passion for child development and creating joyful early experiences has been at the heart of everything I do.

From Teacher to Baby Class Leader

Before becoming a Mini Magoos franchisee, I spent over 15 years in primary education, teaching across KS1, KS2, and in senior leadership. I’ve worked with children from as young as two right up to Year 7, leading English across the school and supporting pupils with their language development, vocabulary, phonics, reading, and writing.

In my role as a data and progress lead, I developed a deep understanding of what helps children thrive — from academic achievement to social and emotional growth. One thing became clear time and time again: a child’s earliest experiences matter. The foundations we lay in those first months and years can have a lasting impact on their future.

My Mini Magoos Mum Journey

I first discovered Mini Magoos as a mum, and it quickly became one of the highlights of my week. For nearly six years, I attended classes with both of my children, starting when they were just eight weeks old and continuing until they were almost four and a half years old.

Every week, we were greeted by a friendly, welcoming class leader, exciting themes, and activities designed to support all areas of early development. From shaking maracas to tummy time, exploring sensory trays to dancing under the bubble machine — my children’s faces would light up every single time.

For me, it wasn’t just about the activities. As a new mum, I found a safe and supportive community where I could connect with others, share experiences, and watch my children grow in a nurturing space. Those moments and connections stayed with me long after the classes ended.

Why I Took the Leap

When the opportunity arose to run the Mini Magoos Wirral North, I knew it was exactly what I wanted to do. It brought together everything I loved — my teaching experience, my understanding of early childhood development, and my own positive experiences as a parent in the classes.

I was also looking for flexibility. With a young family of my own, I wanted a career I could fit around my children’s needs, without giving up the joy and fulfilment that comes from doing work I’m passionate about. Mini Magoos gives me exactly that.

My Vision for Mini Magoos Wirral North

Now, my goal is to create the same joyful, supportive environment for other parents and carers that I once experienced myself. I want to:

  • Bring the joy of Mini Magoos to families across Hoylake, Greasby, and Wallasey
  • Support babies’ physical, emotional, and language development in a fun, engaging way
  • Provide a warm, inclusive community where parents can connect and babies can thrive
  • Keep sessions exciting with themed activities, music, movement, and sensory play

A Space to Grow Together

Mini Magoos isn’t just about an hour of entertainment — it’s about creating moments that matter. It’s about seeing your baby’s face light up during instrument time, hearing their first giggles as bubbles fill the air, and knowing those experiences are supporting their growth and development.

Running these classes in Hoylake, Greasby, and Wallasey is an absolute privilege, and I can’t wait to meet even more families and share the same magic that made me fall in love with Mini Magoos all those years ago.
